Opting your Child out of the PSSA's

  1. You may now refuse your child's to take the PSSAs without providing a reason. Under Part II Section 4 of the 2016 Handbook for Assessment Coordinators, parents may refuse their kids to take the PSSAs. There is no need to review the assessments. Only letter stating you are refusing them needs to be sent to the superintendent. This is what I did this year. No review. One letter. That's it!
